Curious C: Hey, how to choose a right air cleaner?

Designer: To pick the right air cleaner, you first need to know how big is your room and what is the air delivery rate that meet your room size. To filter particles, choose a portable air cleaner that has clean air delivery rate fast enough for the size of your room.

Curious C: I got the square feet of my room, and then?

Designer: Second, you need to pick the device base on its clean air delivery rate. The measurement of air delivery rate is CFM. By the way, CFM stands for cubic feet per minute.

Designer: For example, for the room size of 100 square feet, it is better to choose a device with at least 65 CFM, for the room size of 200 square feet, it’s better to use a device with 130 CFM. As a rule of thumb, every 100 square feet area you add to your room it would need additional 65 CFM for the portable air cleaner.

The CFM number suggest here is only an estimate. It is based on 8 foot ceiling. If you have a higher ceiling, it is recommended to choose a higher air delivery rate.

Curious C: Thanks! I am curious no more.
